Student Like A Boss Academy has been a passion of mine for many, many, years. It is a curriculum that teaches middle and high school students leadership and life skills by training them in the areas of digital art and entrepreneurship. It started as a way to help students from economically challenged families bring in some extra income for their households. I quickly realized that all students could benefit from the strategies…so Student Like A Boss was born!

How Student Like A Boss Grew

As a teacher in an inner city school in Austin, Texas, I began developing a curriculum within my class that would teach economically challenged students (and their families) graphic design skills, and then teach them how to sell those designs on various products.  I taught them how to sell to family, friends, people within their community, and people across the globe.

Before long, I began to notice that not only were the low-income students succeeding, but students from all economic and cultural backgrounds were becoming successful student entrepreneurs.  Students were growing creative mindsets.  They were developing confidence.  They were starting small businesses.  But most importantly…they were having FUN!

The Student Like A Boss curriculum has seen much success in the classroom, and now my family and I feel like it’s time to share those skills and strategies with the world.

Our online curriculum teaches students and their families how to set up their graphic design software (we use Google Drawings…FREE), and how to set up an online store (we use Redbubble…FREE).  Our curriculum includes 60+ instructional videos that teach fun and easy graphic design techniques (with more being added all the time), AND we have lessons on how to brand your store AND how to market to the world using proven (and awesome) marketing and sales strategies.

Where We Are Today

Student Like A Boss Academy is a membership program designed for middle and high school students who want to learn about entrepreneurship, digital art, and graphic design. It offers comprehensive courses and resources that teach students how to create fun and easy digital art designs and then how to sell them on popular print-on-demand platforms like Redbubble, Merch by Amazon, and Etsy. Students who join the academy gain valuable life skills that will serve them well in all aspects of their lives. The courses emphasize the importance of hard work, patience, learning from failure, creating positive habits, being proactive, and much more.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Student Like A Boss Academy is the opportunity for students to explore their passions and connect with like-minded individuals who share their interests. The academy provides a safe and supportive environment for students to develop their skills and build confidence.
